TEN SEED-GROUP DOCUMENTATION CENTRE

          The Ten Seed-Group Documentation Centre is to function as a lending library of books, periodicals, audio and video cassettes, with the emphasis on books and periodicals, including magazines, newsletters and reports. The Documentation Centre also includes information on activities of groups and organisations all over the world engaged in one or more of the fields of activity of the 10 seed-groups. The essential feature of all materials proposed is that they represent humanity's attempts to solve its global and local problems, to find alternatives to the present mainstream social, scientific, medical, economic, educational, political and religious systems, which have proven inadequate in our present world situation of global interdependence, need for decentralised decision-making structures and globally coordinated action. The Documentation Centre is also to function as a teaching tool on the ten seed-group structure, a spiritually-based, decentralised structure for coordinating all constructive and far-sighted endeavours undertaken by individuals and groups. This structure is all-inclusive, above all barriers such as race, sex, age, religion, nationality, ideology or culture. Its essential unit is the human being, his individual creativity and his willingness to practice in all circumstances the love of truth, personal responsibility, sense of justice, spirit of cooperation and selfless service for the common good. All materials of the Documentation Centre, both books and non-books, are therefore classified according to the 10 seed-group structure. Its main subdivisions are:

Since this Documentation Centre is intended for people of all orientations and walks of life, the next proposed subdivision is into esoteric and exoteric. Esoteric concerns the inner, subjective reality, and exoteric concerns the outer, objective reality. They are indicated in the classification by the letters ES and EX. Some people work on the level of inner realisation and exploration, others on the level of outer materialisation and research. Of course, these two orientations only represent two sides of the same coin, and in some cases, the distinction is difficult to make. Even though today these two tendencies are rather seen as incompatible with each other, eventually, all human beings are supposed to reach a degree of development in which they can function equally well on both levels: the inner, spiritual one, and the outer, objective one. By taking into account both of them in our Documentation Centre, we hope to be able to make a small contribution towards that eventual reconciliation and all-rounded development of humanity. Further subdivisions are proposed in order to make the materials more easily accessible to the users. For example, the first subdivision in each main category concerns those materials based on the work of the Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khul, for the simple reason that the ten seed-group structure was first presented to humanity by this Master. In the following pages the total classification system is presented. Suggestions and improvements are most welcome, as this is an experimental system in its beginning.
